The Esplanade Hotel, built in 1911 by the outstanding architect, Arnold Heymann, has always been the most luxurious hotel in Marianske Lazne. This Titanic among hotels fortunately has never wrecked and lived through a number of successful seasons serving princes and bankers, Indian princesses and maharajas. Following an extensive reconstruction that, however, has maintained its art nouveau character and charm, the hotel continues to offer the most luxurious accommodation and a host of other spa services unmatched even in the highly developed Czech spa industry.
Marianske Lazne is the world well-known spa in the middle of Europe, just 12 km away from the Czech border to Germany. With more than 40 mineral springs, beautiful art nouveau architecture and marvelous natural scenic views, it has been enticing visitors for two centuries now. The visitors have included such outstanding names as Goethe, Straus, Kafka, Kipling, Nobel and many more. King Edward VII of England visited nine times here! Today, Marianske Lazne is a town throbbing with rich culture as well as sporting life. The hotel is situated in a spectacular park offering an unforgettable view of the town, also a 5-minute walk from the famous Marienbad colonnade.
